ITE is pleased to announce that the 15th Caspian Oil & Gas Conference will be held on 4th - 5th June 2008, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Over the last century and a half, the world has taken a steady interest in Azerbaijan's energy resources.  Nowadays, the country's resources are drawing attention from as far afield as Europe, America and Asia.  Over this time, the planet has undergone many changes and more than a billion tons of crude from Azerbaijan has secured the economic development of many countries.  Nevertheless, the Caspian's reserves are still full and Azerbaijan's renown as an oil and gas supplier continues to grow.

Over the next 14 years, the magnetic pull of Azerbaijan's energy infrastructure has been evident at the largest exhibition in the Caspian region – the Caspian Oil & Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals exhibition.  The 2007 opening ceremony attracted large numbers of high-ranking guests, among them the President of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev.

5th June, 2007

H.E Ilham Aliyev draws the attention of the exhibition participants and guests to the increased efforts of Azerbaijan authorities to intensify production of natural gas, which is quite logical because in 2006 Azerbaijan was a gas importing country, but this year it has turned into an exporter of fuel.
